The Calm Comes After the Chaos

There’s a lot you can’t control right now.
Markets. Politics. People’s reactions. The next curveball life throws your way.
But here’s what you can control, your breath, your schedule, your energy, your decisions, your time.
I’ve been through cycles where everything felt like it was falling apart. Business setbacks. Team issues. Health scares. Family challenges. Financial pressure that made me question everything. The kind of seasons that test your values and your resilience.
And I’ll be honest, most of what I know today about calm and clarity didn’t come from a book. It came from being in the middle of the storm, getting hit from all angles, and still needing to show up, lead, and deliver.
That’s where the real work happens. That’s where clarity is forged.
July’s a good month to get back to basics. Strip things down. Get clear on what’s yours to carry and what’s not. And lead from that place.
Because most of us are not short on ideas. We’re short on focus. We spend our days leaking energy into things we can’t influence, while ignoring the few things that would actually shift the dial.
At 34 Coaching, we don’t preach perfection. We coach performance under pressure. We work with leaders who carry a lot—and we help them build the mental fitness, the systems, and the clarity to carry it better.
So if July feels heavy, you’re not alone. But you’re not powerless either.
Control what you can. Let the rest move around you.
